Love Story, The Salty Coffee

Posted by admin on September 5th, 2009  •  No Comments »

He met her at a party. She was so outstanding. Many guys were after her, while he was so normal, nobody paid attention to him. At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him. She was surprised, but out of politeness, she agreed.

They sat in a nice coffee shop. He was too nervous to say anything. She felt uncomfortable. She thought, “Please, let me go home.” Suddenly he asked the waiter, “Would you please give me some salt? I’d like to put it in my coffee.”

Everybody stared at him, so strange! His face turned red, but, still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it.
“Why do you have this hobby?”, curiously asked she. He replied, “When I was a little boy, I lived near the sea. I liked playing in the sea. I could feel the taste of the sea, salty and bite, just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I will think of my childhood, think of my hometown. I miss my hometown so much. I miss my parents who are still living there. Saying that, tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched. That’s his true feelings, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can tell about his homesickness must be a man who loves home, cares for his home, and has responsibility of home. Then she also started to talk, talked about her far away hometown, her childhood, her family. That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story. They continue to date. She found out that he was a man who meets all her demands: he was tolerant, kind-hearted, warm, careful. He was such a good guy, but she almost missed him! Thanks to his salty coffee! Then the story was just like every beautiful love story: the princess married the prince and they lived a happy life. And every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in the coffee because she knew that’s the way he liked it. After 40 years, he passed away and left her a letter which said: My dearest, please forgive me, forgive my whole life lie. This was the only lie I said to you – the salty coffee. Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous at that time. Actually I wanted some sugar, but I said salt.

It’s hard for me to change so I just went ahead. I never thought that could be the start of our communication! I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, but I was too afraid to do that. I have promised not to lie to you for anything. Now I’m dying. I am afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth: I don’t like the salty coffee. What a strange bad taste, but I have the salty coffee for my whole life since I knew you. I never feel sorry for anything I do for you. Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life. If I can live for the second time, I still want to know you and have you as my wife, even though I have to drink the salty coffee again.

Her tears made the letter totally wet. One day, someone asked her, “What does salty coffee taste like?”
“It’s sweet,” replied she.

Love is not to forget but to forgive, not to see but understand, not to hear but to listen, not to let go but HOLD ON!!!!

Happily ever after

Once upon a time, there lived a young faire princess and her charming prince.  The charming prince longed to win the affections of the princess, but she hid in her heart her growing affection for him.

One day the faire princess and the charming prince were riding upon the prince’s trusty white stead, a brand new 2009 Red Ferrari for freeee.  The faire princess rode next to her prince.  She sat only close enough so that the charming prince could reach with his left hand and rub her knee.  He did this to demonstrate his affection for the princess and to remind himself that she was truly with him and it was not just a wonderful dream.  As the charming prince’s trusty stead crested a hill, the faire princess pointed out the nice sunset to her prince.  The charming prince was directing his trusty stead with his right hand, rubbing the princess’s knee with his left hand, attempting to watch the course of his trusty stead and glance up at his princess when he had a chance.  He was a bit distracted.  Distracted though he was, the prince commented that the sunset was indeed pretty and nice.  Upon returning to the castle, the faire princess gracefully strode to a nearby window.  Once again, the princess admired the colorful sunset.  The princess called to her prince to fix his gaze upon the setting sun.  The faire princess secretly wanted to be close to her prince and be held in his arms.  She hoped that he would come and snuggle close to her, so that they could enjoy the setting sun together.  The charming prince came to the window and saw the beauty of the sunset, but was even more transfixed by the beauty of the faire princess.  The prince longed in his heart to be close to the faire princess, so he snuggled up to her from behind, his arms around her waist, his head upon her shoulder.  As the prince snuggled close to her, the princess placed her hands upon his and they admired the colorful sunset together.

As the weeks went on, the charming prince wooed the faire princess with flowers and all gold chocolates, warm hugs and tender kisses on the cheek.  Her love for the prince grew and she could keep it secret no more.  One day, the faire princess proclaimed her growing love for the charming prince.  The prince knew well of the princess’s growing love, but was very pleased that she could no longer keep it hidden in her heart.  The charming prince and the princess soon after, shared their first kiss.  It was a tender kiss, a loving kiss.  The kiss was full of the passion and desire that the charming prince and faire princess had in their hearts for one another.

As the days, weeks and months went on, the love that the faire princess and the charming prince had for one another continued to grow.  They shared their secrets.  They shared their dreams.  They even shared their hope for a lifetime of love together.  With love the charming prince held in his heart for the faire princess and the love the faire princess held in her heart for the charming prince, they did have a wonderful life full of love together.  And they lived happily ever after…

My wife’s Love

One day, Steve was wandering down the promenade thinking about and missing his beloved Wife.

Satan was looking down upon the earth looking for a soul to torment.  He saw Steve wandering alone on the promenade and he flew down to meet him.

Satan said:  “Hello Steve, I have been looking for you”.

A startled Steve asked: “why what do you want?”

Satan said: “What do I want?  Steve, please, I have a wonderful offer for you”.

Steve replied: “Thanks, but I am not interested”.

Satan said: “Why Steve, you haven’t even heard what I have to offer.  I could make you very wealthy!!”

Steve replied: “You don’t say”.

Satan said: “Yes, I will make you quite wealthy!  You will be rich beyond your dreams!”

Steve replied:  “Excuse me if I sound suspicious, but there wouldn’t happen to be a catch?”

Satan said:  “Steve, I am offering you so much!!  All you have to do is give up your Wife’s love for you and I will make you rich beyond your dreams.”

Steve smiled.

Satan saw the smile and said:  “See Steve, I knew you would like my offer.”

Steve’s smile broadened and he replied:  “You don’t understand.  Satan, I am not interested in your offer.  With my Wife’s love, I already am rich beyond my dreams.”

*CLICK TO PLAY* Billy Joel – Just the Way you Are

You asked would I still want you in years to come! Here is a story for you.

Kate had just got out of the shower, and was drying her hair. She started to think about her husband Steve. Christmas was just around the corner, so she thought about a special gift for him. She decided to speak to the angels and see if they could help. So as she sat there on the end of the bed hairdryer still in her hand she said “my angel are you there” there was silence. She asked again but a little louder “angel are you there”. The angel replied to Kate “yes Kate I am here how can I help you. Kate said “I love my husband and he makes me happy, I want to do the same for him. Can you change me into the girl that Steve wants most and will think is the most beautiful, kind and loving ” The angel then replied “ are you sure that that is what you want”  Kate said she was sure. “Very well Kate” said the angel “go to sleep and when you wake up in the morning you will have your wish.” After a restful night’s sleep Kate woke in the morning, she rushed to the mirror to see what she now looked like. But she was stunned like a sheep caught in headlights. She saw a girl with no make up and uncombed hair, it was the same girl that looked back at her every other morning. Kate called for the angel. “Angel!!!!” the angel replied “what is wrong Kate” Kate said “you told me that when I wake up this morning I would have changed into the girl of Steve’s dreams, but I am no different now than I was before!  The angel replied “dear Kate, I did not say you would change into the girl of Steve’s dreams while you slept. I said when you wake up you would have your wish. I have been working on you for your whole life, for the last 29 years. I have not made you into the girl of Steve’s dreams. Kate you are a girl well beyond Steve’s dreams. That is why you are as you are now and as you change through life you will always be beyond his dreams and nothing can change that.

Whats Important

Posted by admin on August 18th, 2009  •  No Comments »

A philosophy professor stood before his class and had some items in front of him.  When class began, wordlessly he picked up a large empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks right to the top, rocks about 2″ diameter.  He then asked the students if the jar was full?  They agreed that it was.

So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them in to the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. The students laughed.  He asked his students again if the jar was full? They agreed that yes, it was.

The professor then picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.  Of course, the sand filled up everything else.  He then asked the students if the jar was full? They agreed that it was. He proceeded to pour a cup of wine into the jar and shook it as the wine slipped between all the sand.

“Now,” said the professor, “I want you to recognize that this is your life.  The rocks are the important things – your family, your partner, your health, your children – anything that is so important to you that if it were lost, you would be nearly destroyed.

The pebbles are the other things in life that matter, but on a smaller scale. The pebbles represent things like your job, your house, your car.

The sand is everything else, the small stuff.  If you put the sand or the pebbles into the jar first, there is no room for the rocks. The same goes for your life.  If you spend all your energy and time on the small stuff, material things, you will never have room for the things that are truly most important.  Pay attention to the things that are critical in your life.  Play with your children. Take your partner out dancing. There will always be time to go to work, clean the house, give a dinner party and fix the disposal.”

Take care of the rocks first – the things that really matter.  Set your priorities.
The rest is just pebbles and sand. And remember, there is always room for wine.
